Using BackupMaster to Clone / Duplicate Your Shopify Store

With BackupMaster, you can effortlessly duplicate or clone your Shopify store. This is particularly useful if you want to replicate your store setup for different regions, testing, or other purposes.

Note: For the purpose of this tutorial, we’re using "SuperStoreUS" and "SuperStoreEU" as example store names. Please replace these with your actual store names when following the steps.

Tutorial: Cloning SuperStoreUS to SuperStoreEU

For this example, we will demonstrate how to clone products, custom collections, and smart collections from SuperStoreUS to SuperStoreEU.

Initial Setup:

Source Store: SuperStoreUS

Destination Store: SuperStoreEU

Steps:

1. Set Up the Source Store

a. Navigate to BackupMaster within your SuperStoreUS admin.

b. Click on “Clone store” within the app.

c. Confirm you're operating in the source store, SuperStoreUS.

d. Input the name of your destination store, which in this tutorial is SuperStoreEU.

e. After clicking "Finish setup," BackupMaster will generate a unique code. Copy this code for use in the destination store.

2. Configure the Destination Store

a. Install the BackupMaster app on your destination store, SuperStoreEU.

b. Input the previously copied code from SuperStoreUS and then click the "Activate" button.

c. You'll be prompted to select the data you wish to clone from the source store. Make your selections and then click "Next."

d. Initiate the transfer by clicking on "Start import."

e. BackupMaster will begin transferring the data. You can monitor the progress directly within the app. Don't worry about keeping the window open; when the process is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email.
